Are you ready to make your pledge?
Our aim is to reduce obesity and type 2 diabetes in the Mackay-Isaac-Whitsunday communities but to do this we need your help.
Changing habits to healthier ones is a difficult task and it is the leaders in our workplaces, families, school and community that can make the most impact.
We are asking leaders to make a pledge now on what they can do to start the change in their tribes.
Stuck on what to pledge?
It doesn’t need to be complicated and can be as easy as committing to leading a change in your tribe – we’ll help with the rest! Here’s some other ideas:
- Introduce walking/standing meetings in your workplace.
- Swap screen time for more physical activities to get your family moving.
- Introduce vegetable gardens at your school.
- Introduce the traffic light system in your community organisation’s canteen.
