Congratulations to Mackay Institute of Research Innovation (MIRI) Researcher A/ Prof Gunther Paul who has been given the honour of Ambassador for the Foundation for Professional Ergonomics in Australia.
“It’s a great honour which I am very happy to accept…The main task of an Ambassador is to inform professional colleagues in the field of ergonomics about the goals of the foundation, and identify potential areas of collaboration and to promote the foundation in Australia and around the world.” said Gunther.
The Foundation for Professional Ergonomics was established in 2004 as a non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing professionalism in ergonomics through educational activities and awards.
They are linked to the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics and work closely with the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) on various ergonomics practitioner initiatives.
The MIRI/Australian Institute of Tropical Health and Medicine OHS unit support excellence in the professional body of Ergonomics and Occupational Health and Safety practitioners in Australia.
As a driving force for innovation in OHS and Ergonomics in Tropical Queensland, MIRI will work closely with the relevant national professional organizations to achieve and maintain the highest professional standard and qualification of OHS practitioners in Queensland.
